Back to Gravity

So I have this friend. She’s pretty rockin’. We talk, we laugh, we can go three weeks without talking (though not preferable) and still not miss a beat. We have a song. Yes, I know. Not traditional, but give it up, it’s our thing. We’re kindred spirits, we connect. Why? Why is our song our song? Because it describes us, our relationship with God, what we’re looking for in a man….it describes life. “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles. Seriously. Think about it….everything comes back to gravity. How hard we work, how difficult it is to do anything, how easy at the same time….how tired we feel – how refreshed….doesn’t it all come back to gravity? Back to the simple fact that God has placed us on this rock and placed a pull upon us that cements us invariably to it? I mean, really. Not only are we inevitably pulled to this planet, but the things on it that we really connect with always bring us back…like gravity. So, as I ponder this life, and all that I encounter in it….it all comes back to gravity.
